The Christmas Holidays were busy for the Alexis Volunteers ranging from medical calls to structure fires. On Christmas Day Engine 200 was dispatched on third alarm to assist Denver Fire Department station 1 with a fully involved two story 4800 square foot structure fire on Governors Island. Denver Fire Department arrived on the scene and encountered heavy fire showing from the roof area. The fire went to three alarms with other agences from surrounding counties for manpower and equipment. Alexis units cleared around 1700 hrs.
