Thursday afternoon around 2 p.m. Engine 200 from base 1 and Tanker 205 from the new substation base 2 responded to assist Boger City on Low Bridge Rd in Iron Station with a reported barn on fire. Alexis units arrived to find the barn fully involved. The fire spread through the grass toward an adjacent structure but was extinguished before it caught fire. Both Alexis units operated for about two hours. After Boger City command released Engine 200 they responded to Asbury Church Rd in Boger Citys first due for a grass and woods fire. Pumpkin Center VFD also responded for assistance.
