pstrongnbsp Engine 200 203 and Tanker 204 responded to a reported house on fire on Gilroy Rd off Rhyne Forest Dr. Firecenter advised that the occupant was still inside the residence. Engine 200 arrived on the scene within 4 minutes of dispatch to find a single story brick structure with heavy fire and smoke showing through the roof. Two lines were laid on the ground and Alexis Firefighters started knocking down the fire. The fire was brought under control in about 20 minutes and the victim was located. Sadly to say that the occupant was deceased when firefighters located the occupant. There was extensive salvage and overhaul operations conducted on the structure. The Lincoln County Fire Marshals office and the SBI were called out to investigate the fire. Boger City and East Lincoln Fire Departments also responded to assist.strongp
