pIt is with great sadness that the Alexis Fire Department announcesnbspthe loss of former member and Chief nbspRay Wilson. Ray passed away Thursday evening and GMH. He was 57 yrs old. Ray served as Chief of Alexis in 1985 and was one of few members to attain the rank of NC Firefighter III.nbspHe was a currentnbspmember of the Stanley Fire Department and held the position of secretary and was former secretary for the Gaston County Firefighters Association.ppFuneral services will be held Monday at 3pm at Mt Zion Baptist Church. The interment will be at The Alexis Baptist Church Cemetery.
