Saturday Gaston County Firefighters were in parking lots and at intersections throughout Gaston County collecting money in firefighter boots so children with muscular dystrophy can continue attending summer camps and get help to find a cure. The money collected will go toward research summer camps clinical visits support groups and the purchase of wheelchairs. Last year Gaston County firefighters raised over 12000 dollars. Hopefully this year it will be even more.
