Firecenter advised while en route that Med Center Air was en route and needed a LZ set-up.nbsp Engine 201 advised to have Station 31 Lucia-Riverbend to handle the LZ.nbsp Upon arrival a single vehicle accident truck vs. tree was found and entrapment was confirmed.nbsp Asst. Chief Presswood and Firefighter Withers initiated extrication while Captain Cloninger handled patient care and Lieutenant Millsaps and Safety Officer Smith stood by with a charged hand line.nbsp Both doors and roof were removed from the vehicle and the dash and steering column were rolled.nbsp Once the patient was free from the vehicle patient care was turned over to GEMS Gaston Emergency Medical Services.nbsp The GEMS supervisor arrived on the scene and cancelednbsp Med Center Air and the patient was transported to GMH Gaston Memorial Hospital via ground ambulance.nbsp Engine 201 remained on the scene to provide lighting for SHP State Highway Patrol for their investigation.nbsp Engine 201 cleared at approximately 2200. nbsp divdivnbspdivdivThis was the thirdnbspMVA of the day for Alexis units. The 2 others involved motorcycles with minor or no injuries.
