pnbspnbsp At approx 2200after extrication training Monday night Gaston County Firecenter boxed out a commercial fire at C amp S Pit Stop on Dallas-Stanley Hwynbspin Station 18s Spencer Mt local. Engine 200 responded with 6 personnel and arrived just behind Spencer Mt. Engine 180 to findnbspheavy smoke pumping out of the structure withnbspa working fire in the basement area of the store. East Gaston and Ranlo units arrived just behind 200 along with Stanley.nbsp18 command struck a second alarm as crews stretched two lines off of Engine 180 to the basementnbsp and a third line off Engine 200 to the front of the store. The fire was knocked down fairly quick. Companies remained on the scene well into the morning hours with salvage and overhaul operations. The Gaston County fire Marshalls office was called in to determine the cause of the fire. it is still under investigation.
