pstrongEngine 200 respondednbsp mutual aid to assist East Gaston VFD with a working fire at the Buckeye Technologies paper plant located on Hwy 27 between Mt. Holly and Stanley. East Gaston Engine 300 arrived on the scene at the rear of the structure to find fire in a large hopper and several fires in the duct work. Mt Holly Engine 34 caught the plug and laid a supply line in. Engine 200 arrived with 4 firefighters and started fire attack inside the hopper. A second alarm was struck bring Engines and Ladder Companies from Charlotte FD Lucia-Riverbend Community New Hope Air 50. nbsp200s driver assisted Community Engine 32 with hooking up a manifold to the hydrant to supply Engine 300 and to pump the FDC. The fire was brought under control within two hrs but had an extensive offensive attack due to multiple fire all over the duct work system.
