Engine 201200and 203 responded to Bens Lane for reported structure fire in our Gaston County first due. Engine 201 arrived on scene to find a single wide mobile home with heavy fire and smoke showing. Engine 201s crew of fourunder direction of Capt. K.Robinson made an agressive interior attack as the fire broke through the roof of the structure. Engine 200 and 203 arrived shortly after to establish a water supply with Engine 303 East Gaston and Engine 311 Lucia-Riverbend assisting with ventilation and overhaul operations. Command Asst Chief Summey issued a control tme at 2005. The Gaston County Fire Marshals Office was called in to investigate as was the American Red Cross. Engine 183 Spencer Mt. also responded but was released back into service shortly after they arrived. E-311 was back in service at 1000 while Alexis units and Squad 309 East Gaston operated until 0005 with overhaul and assisting the fire marshals office with their investigation with lights and manpower.
